Wednesday evening update

First off - I'm alone at the hotel while Damon is out watching a U of A basketball game. Are you surprised?! LOL he needs to get them in before I truly put the HAMMER down. Quite frankly my ankle needed rest tonight so he went on his own to see birthdad at the hospital and birthmom in the ICU. He took one for the team tonight and I'm crazy appreciative for that. Well so is he, he wants to make sure I'm up to speed when these twins get discharged.

SOOoooooo, good news and bad news. Good news - bmom is sitting up, awake and both Damon and I visited with her this morning!!!!! She is a little bummed about her condition but was happy to see us and know the babies are doing well. i tried not to cry when I told her how the babies basically took everything out of her. She told me not to make her cry because it hurt her insides. :-( But we know she knew that anyway. Smart cookie. Have I mentioned in the past few posts (other then the pictures, ha) how amazing she is?!

More good news - Damon and I are basically infatuated with Michael and Carmel...their names seem to be evolving into Mike and Melly (love that one) but we will see. I think Damon wants to create his own name for our Carmel that he gets to call her; his own special Daddy name.

OOoooo...blogging is such hard work I'm not even giving you the good good news. We were informed by someone in the nursery today that they BOTH might ready for discharge tomorrow. EXCITING! but....with bmom and her condition, they don't know when she'll be ready to sign her papers and we continue to make sure we respect and care for her needs and do what we are supposed to do. If we end up being able to take them back to the extended stay hotel (likely) it would be temporary and not the the paperwork that allows us to take her home to California.

As always thanks for everyones support. we are still trying to keep this blog to immediate friends and family. We have both posted our deepest emotions and feelings and this was never meant to be a public forum. As most of you probably already received a phonecall or email from us this is still the private Hubbart forum (LOL) . We thank you in advance for respecting our privacy.
