To all our friends and family ... thank you.
Today was one of the most unique days of our lives. We have ridden a roller coaster of joy and pain.
We welcomed our children into the world and lived a nightmare with the family who brought them into it.
As of late tonight on the east coast the birthmother is still critical. The Doctors are cautiously optimistic as their efforts to stem her internal bleeding were successful after a long day of multiple surgeries. We are hopeful, it will be her last. She is not yet out of the woods and more will be evaluated tomorrow. Please continue to keep her and her husband and family in your prayers. Her Husband has been a rock throughout this for his family and for us. We can not express how much love we have for him and her.
We appreciate everyone's vigilance in tracking her progress. We will repay that with more updates tomorrow.
The joy has been our "JOY" and "BLESSING". Both Michael and Carmel are doing so well. We could not be more stoked! Both babies are eating well, especially Carmel who is now trying to catch up with Mike for taking all of her food for the last 3 weeks! Great Great news.
Love to everyone.... talk to you soon.

God brings us to these places in our lives for His purpose, this family and their struggle, the hospital, the hotel, others who share this journey and of course your Joy and Blessing. He is working mightily!Praise!
ReplyDeleteWow what a day you guys had! I can't imagine how you can feel so much Joy and such angst at the same time. We have been and will continue to pray for the birth-mothers full recovery. We love you guys and are so happy that the twins are healthy and doing so well. I can't wait to hold them!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for keeping us updated! I'm praying hard for the birthmom. Please continue to let us know what is going on with her and with Michael and Carmel!
